Vintage 50 Sales up 12% for August 2008

The economy is soft and V-50 is doing better than ever. Overall sales for August are up 12% in dollar volume over August of 2007 and we had the best month in dollar volume since opening the doors in November 2006. Beer sales are moving upward along with overall sales at 16.5% of total sales for this August versus 16% of total sales in August of 2007. Volume of beer sold is up as well, 32.4 barrels or 64.8 kegs for the month of August this year versus 27.1 barrel or 54.2 kegs for August of 2007. Costs of raw materials have increased but given that we are a manufacturer of beer and a retailer the overall impact is minimal on profits.

This kind of growth follows the findings of the Brewers Association in their 2008 First Half Highlights report. Craft beer dollar sales have increased 11% in the first half of 2008 compared to the same period for 2007. Volume sales for the same period has grown by 6%. Looks like we are doing better that that here at V-50 in Leesburg.

Recession? Not at V-50.

Cheers, Bill

  1. Congrats Bill! Still haven’t made it out to your part of the “country” to visit V-50, but I’ve been keeping tabs on ya!
